uh, well, not that it'll really affect anything here on DA, but uh... The top bunk of my bed, where I sleep, just fell. With me in it. I was cuddling two of my cats and rolled over, and CRASH!
Turns out one piece hadn't been secured (the problem with assembling things like that on your own) and finally slipped out.
The miraculous thing? I keep my computer, scanner, digital camera, cell phone, dsl box, and mp3 player on the desk under my bed, and none of it GOT HURT. not a crack, not a scratch. Hell, it didn't even crack the soup bowl I'd left on the desk. I'm just stuck sleeping on the floor now.
So, uh, yeah. I'mma gonna go take some aspirin and try not to be sick now...
(P.S. I didn't get hurt in the fall. Just a bump on the elbow, so no worries)

-megacling- That worries me none the less! Now, I used to sleep on my bottom bunk and have had the top bunk fall on top of me, but never fallen off of it. (And May '08 I switched to a futon anyway)
Do you need an ice pack?

nah. I get migraines on a monthly basis anyway, so this is just a wee little headache compared to that.
I'm more worried about my cats. They act like they're ok, but the two on top with me were gone by the time I hit bottom, and one likes to sleep on the floor under it, behind my chair. But he seems to be ok, since he's there now. And the one that's always on the bed is at the top stair, looking around and wondering where her fluffy bed is. XD
But yeah, I'm sure I'll just be able to sleep this off... *goes and makes some tea <3*

Silly kitty, the bed is on the floor now! Amazing she still wanted to go up on top after what happened. oO Glad everything is ok, minus the bed. Just talk to the ppl I told you to, hopefully you can get new brackets crafted so this won't happen again. >.<
